10:49 am	The Summer in four sentences. Man it’s been a long time since I have posted anything amounting to a real update. But the news once again pushed one of my buttons, the biggest button in fact, but they did it in a good way. The Kansas Board of Education elections just switched majority from conservative to liberal, what this means is that the Intelligent Design curriculum will most likely be re-examined, and removed. I will keep my personal views out of this but needless to say I am ecstatic and overjoyed. Now on to business, summer. This summer was good if not hot and full of hicks. For those of you who don’t know I was driving an RV throughout the eastern Wisconsin area for a Temp agency conducting interviews and prepping people on getting positions. Other than that there has been little. Shadowrun was played and enjoyed, people were met and liquor was consumed, all in all this was a good summer. 4:01 am	The Concert Half deaf, sweaty, sore, exhausted, hungry, tipsy, and dehydrated... Yep Ive been Rocked Show was amazing. Missed the first band, caught Kill Hannah, Why did no one tell me they are emo, wtfbbq emo?! many points off but they were still good. MSI, fucking rocked, good god Faggot has to be one of the best songs to have a audience sing. In other news I got nailed in the inner arm in the pit, how the fuck? its all big and yellow and purple. 12:54 am	fucking shit! I'm currently BSD'd and borrowing my moms laptop to type this. Looks like my HD is fried, and Im going to have to get a new one and hopefully be able to salvage info from the busted one. For those with tech savy: The boot sector is fine (ive re-written in with both western digital and xp repair cds) and the windows load sector says its fine, but the bluescreen says that there is unmountable boot drive for C: which is the only drive that has windows on it and I am unwilling to format any of my drives lest I lose my documents and movies or my music depending on what drive I format. 12:55 am	Gripes of people and Culture There are days I really wish I didn't take Gender Society and Culture, mainly ones like today. The reading for tomorrow is Womb as Oasis: The Symbolic Context of Pharaonic Circumcision in Rural Northern Sudan. Otherwise known as Cliteridectomy, or female circumcision or "the cutting of the rose". I do realize that this happens and admit that I think it is not right, but whenever this subject is brought up people immediately go to the "its an atorcious act that demoralizes and objectifies women" argument. I will not deny that the act itself is often done poorly and that it is a horrible procedure to go through, but what most people do not consider is that for a woman in the rural Sudanese culture to not have this done is to force her into a life of prostitution, and social exile. I can almost guarantee that tomorrow will devolve into an argument on whether or not this act is right or wrong and eventually on how it should be fixed. Although the act is not pleasant and it takes away sexual enjoyment from the female, there needs to be a sense of separation as well as objectivity to this event. It is not the place of America or anyone else to tell others what is right or wrong. Because the world and every action in it is subjective we have no right to tell others what they should or should not do. I am very sorry about this little rant, but it needed to be said and I will most likely be killed if I say it tomorrow.
